Assess the financial management capabilities of a public agency or program.
Finance capabilities can include financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, high quality financial advice, transaction processing, financial information and reporting, costing, internal controls, financial policies, training. The importance of these capabilities will vary by organization and depend on organizational priorities at any given time.
In a capability assessment, finance capabilities required are assessed based on different states or plateaus that the organization may strive to achieve as per generally recognized common/best practices.
