  • Client demand/ workload
  • Efficiency/productivity
  • People/ workplace health. 

    Key steps

    • Identify key dimensions and indicators that best measure the performance of an organization (typically called a performance measurement framework)

    • Decide how the performance data will be collected, building on existing data sources to the extent possible, and identify the major data gaps (the data collection plan)

    • Collect and report the performance data, ideally using automated tools as part of ongoing delivery processes 

    • Monitor and assess the performance results and identify improvement opportunities (this often leads to further refinements in the performance indicators and data sources).
