The accommodation/facilities management function in government agencies faces a number of risks, including health and safety hazards; loss of portfolio value; project delays and cost overruns; deficient leasing practices; unscheduled interruption to building services/ systems; external service provider failure or default; non-compliance with laws and regulations, to name a few. COVID-19 has added another layer of health and safety risks.
The accommodation/facilities management risk profiling template will help you update and assess these risks and the mitigation measures in place using a straightforward tool that encourages discussion amongst the stakeholders involved. The template is fully editable and is intended to encourage managers to hold regular discussions on the risks faced by your government agency and whether the mitigation measures are adequate.
Using the summary risk template, you identify and assess risks in terms of impact, likelihood, trend, review existing mitigation measures, and determine the priority of the risks based on the mitigation gaps. Examples are provided specific to accommodation/facilities management (see preview chart images).
Templates are also provided for more detailed profiles or descriptions of the risks identified, including the risk owner, risk description, risk drivers, evidence of the scope of the risk/ risk indicators, impact, likelihood, trend, existing mitigation measures, mitigation gaps and actions required, and priority (see example of detailed risk profile in the preview charts).
