Capability Assessment Template (21 slides)
In a capability assessment, the key capabilities required of the organization are identified and then assessed based on different states or plateaus that the organization may strive to achieve based on common/best practices. Key capabilities will depend on the operating context and objectives of each organization. Examples of key capabilities could include:
- Planning and analysis (including an analytics capability)
- Quality management
- Client service
- Policy analysis (this could also include a research capability)
- Advisory (e.g., centre of expertise)
- Training/learning
- Conformity to standards (e.g., policies, guidelines, protocols, quality specifications)
- Technologies, tools and systems.
The capability assessment template provides five level maturity capability descriptions for each of the key capabilities noted above. These can be used as a starting point and customized to a particular function or program. A template is also provided to summarize the results of the assessment for each capability and compare with best practices (see example preview charts). A work plan is provided in presentation format.
Upon purchase, you will receive an email with a link to download the template (21 slides in a PowerPoint fully editable format).
